How ridiculously EASY it had become for her to be able to take him anywhere her heart desired. Had this been the work of anyone else, Kai would’ve made sure that his DISDAIN was seen & heard ( slamming the door in someone’s face should do the job rather nicely ). & yet, somehow, when it came to Hotaru, any location her heart desired Kai made sure to be there—didn’t matter if he liked the area or not. In the end, his feelings in that instance did not matter. Her smile is all that mattered in the end & being able to be the one who placed it on her face dulled away any feeling of boredom he might’ve developed over time.
CONVENTIONAL HOBBIES escaped Kai. Things that he did, that other people could classify as such, he saw as things to BE DONE—not things people DID just because. Even something as MUNDANE as ice skating was not seen to the blader as something people did just because. He was on the ice. He paid for the time. He got the skates. One would assume he’d do something while once the ice. THUS–HE DID. & how easy it was. No, he was doing tricks & no he was not falling on his ass. The blade was, with ease, going around the rink with his hands in his pockets—waiting for the timer to be up. The peculiar part of it, however, was the fact that he was indeed having fun. Now, if only he could tell his face.
But, unlike both Chibiusa & Hotaru, Kai didn’t bother to stay on the ice for too long. In his mind, it was more cardio than a hobby—albeit entertaining cardio ( never will anyone catch him saying that aloud ). & thus, once the blader found himself off the ice & having a seat, the thought to look up didn’t register. Why would it? What PURPOSE did it serve to look over his head? His head only rose acutely when addressed; she leaned over the wall to speak & the observation FINALLY cause his gaze to travel upward.

It was swift due to him NOT PAYING ATTENTION. She leaned over without making a sound. SO SOFT WERE THE PETALS THAT MADE CONTACT WITH HIS SKIN. Kai was almost besides himself. Did she take note at how wide his eyes became? How RIGID he became due to the shock? But, such a thing was only temporary. There was that smile—that b e a u t i f u l smile.
Hotaru was not the other one who was swift with their actions. Kai almost completely towered over her; it would make her look up when he stoor ever so close. STRONG HANDS that could launch DRANZER effortlessly into the dish found the bottom of her chin; three fingers—not too much & he made sure to hold her gently, for how dare he leave any imprint of her skin with his brutish nature. Hardened features softened when their eyes met. HOW HIS FIRE GOT LOST ALWAYS IN HER GALAXY.

❛ You’re right, it would be a shame. ❜

He came down. His eyes closed when it did. Two became one with the connection of lips. Pressure was applied but not TOO MUCH to scare her away. Please don’t fly away, little firefly–for you are the only light he has in this darkened world. & like this, he stayed. He’d let her call the shot—pull away when she was ready & he’d take whatever emotion followed with it being HAPPINESS, SHOCK OR REJECTION. Anything would suit him just fine. So long as he could have this with her.
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Calvary choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can’t explain
I know Saint Peter won’t call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world..
